About US

Afrofilms Global (formerly Afrofilms UK)

is an international sales agency dedicated to championing Black and Global Majority films on the world stage. We exist to ensure powerful, culturally rich storytelling reaches the audiences it deserves across borders, platforms, and markets.

Founded with a clear mission to address the persistent gap in international sales and distribution for underrepresented filmmakers, Afrofilms Global works at the intersection of advocacy and commerce. We combine strategic positioning, expert market intelligence, and a deep respect for authentic storytelling to secure meaningful global opportunities for the films we represent.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is simple and urgent.
To connect outstanding Black and Global Majority stories with international buyers, distributors, and audiences worldwide.

In an industry where sales representation often determines a film’s visibility and longevity, we understand how systemic underrepresentation can limit access to global markets. Afrofilms Global was created to shift that narrative and to ensure films rooted in diverse lived experiences are not just seen, but valued, financed, and distributed internationally.

What We Do

We specialize in bridging the gap between underrepresented filmmakers and the global marketplace by providing:

  • International sales strategy and positioning
  • Buyer and distributor introductions
  • Market intelligence and deal negotiation
  • Packaging and sales materials consultancy
  • Festival and market launch strategies
  • Territory by territory sales execution

We tailor each campaign to maximize a film’s commercial potential while protecting its cultural integrity.
